TWO BEAUTIFUL BOUQUETS PERFECT FOR A WINTER BRIDE
Regardless of what month she chooses to walk down the aisle, every bride should have a dream-come-true bouquet of flowers in her hands. And with the advent of greenhouses and overnight shipping, your florals of choice are usually readily available. For those brides who pick cold-weather dates, here are some options.
“In addition to white, winter always lends itself to rich colors inspired by the season’s fruits, pomegranates, persimmons and cranberries,” says Kitzel Ruth of The Perfect Petal. “The florals used here are deep red and purple tones in a loose, Bohemian design for the more unconventional bride. This bouquet would be perfect to carry down the aisle to add a punch of color. The stems used were scabiosa, garden roses, antique Dutch hydrangea, double hellebore, chocolate cosmos and red astilbe paired with rich gardenia foliage, wintergreen, jasmine and smoke bush.”
“White is a classic choice for any winter wedding,” says Ruth. “We’ve thrown a modern twist on this with clustered stems of parrot tulips, sweet pea, white garden roses, Dutch hydrangea and a unique xerographica tillandsia for a modern touch for the style-foward bride. Accented with winter greens and dusty gray foliage, this bouquet is a timeless design for a winter wedding.”
